SURROUNDINGS
The Hotel Kronplatzer Hof in Rasun is located in the heart of the Valle d'Anterselva and a short distance from the Val Pusteria. This enchanting area of the Dolomites can be explored through itineraries and routes among the most beautiful in the entire Alpine arc. The Valle d'Anterselva is characterized by green valleys, dense woods and the high peaks of Collalto (3440m). Particularly suggestive is the Lago d'Anterselva, which offers perfect paths to explore its perimeter on foot or by bicycle. The Val Pusteria extends instead from the Chiusa di Rio Pusteria to the Austrian town of Lienz, in East Tyrol.
In this valley you can admire the magnificent green pastures and forests of the Lower Pusteria, as well as the high peaks of the Alta Val Pusteria, in particular the Tre Cime di Lavaredo offering scenarios of impressive beauty and uniqueness. Among the unmissable destinations of this land there are also the castles of Tures, Monguelfo and Casteldarne, the ever-present farms, local markets, the fabulous Lake Braies with its turquoise waters, the RIPA museums and the Archaeological Museum of South Tyrol Bolzano where Ötzi is visible, an ancient mummified Dolomite inhabitant who lived between 3100-3300 BC.
